Occasional miniature waterfalls under the trees. I think that is why Queen E looks so amazing as the years go by.I love the rose garden that is at the very top of the mountain as well, go with a group of friends and have a great picnic. There's a little putt putt area for golf fans- the staff were super friendly and helpful. The rose garden wasn't as impressive but I think it's just the end of the season which is why it seems more barren than glamorous. The green here is never greener, and the trees are not as big as Stanley Park but they are beautiful and very royal looking, just like the name itself.Funny, because if I remember correctly; Queen Elizabeth is located right on an inactive volcano :P I remember studying this in High school many years back and that the ash and sulfur that was left behind by the volcano create lovely environments. But the quarries are worth checking out-very well done and perfect for a mini scenic stroll. The playground sits alongside the Timber Lodge community centre and cafe, where parents and kids can relax with a range of fresh, home-cooked food and drinks. Roam the Queen Elizabeth Park grounds, take in the amazing views, enjoy the sculptures or just smell the roses. If you’re happy with this, simply continue to use the website as normal. This park is probably better for bigger kids; the huge tunnel slide, climbing frame, climbing walls and the adventure playground are all brilliant for them. I just visited the Rose Garden in Oregon the week before and what a treat to see more and more flowers. its pretty much the opposite, sometimes I ask myself what does the City do with our money? There is a small climbing frame but it has a net scramble which is too difficult for my 1-yr old. The staff keep the park really nice and I think they do an amazing job. There are a couple of art installations scattered throughout the grounds as well. Gigantic red rocks form challenging climbing frames up to broad slides, with oversized swings and even a giant sand pit!
