Millions of adults read the Harry Potter books so I didn’t see any reason not to give this a shot.

I read and enjoy steampunk, but sometimes I'm not in the mood, (and expect a young reader might not be in the mood), for lovingly detailed descriptions and world building. Tom Natsworthy, a teenage Apprentice Historian in the roaming city of London. “Its a town eat town world” as we take a closer look at the post-apocalyptic teen thriller Mortal Engines. We never spend enough time with the characters enjoying the fruits of living in rich London to become appalled at the dark truths that allow such decadence. This book is awesome. I admit I was skeptical as this is a YA book, however, I could not be more pleased.
